A lap desk in ash wood with a birch plywood bottom. Brass piano hinge, lid stay, and double-ball clasps. Removable foam bottom covered in thick black twill (ships unattached; heavy-duty hook-loop strip included). The top measures 18″ by 14″, and the interior is 1 5/8″ deep. Weighs about 8 1/2 pounds. Finished with satin urethane.

Note: this is not as well appointed as I’d hoped. Entirely functional, to be sure, but the tolerances are a little sloppy and there are some mistakes. Consider this a factory second, with a price to match.
