Danny Mayer and I this past autumn resurrected North of Center, our old muckraking newspaper, gone quiet these six years. In its pomp the paper covered Lexington, Kentucky issues other media missed or ignored, from a broadly progressive point of view.

For most of its history I managed print layout, the web site, and wrote a bit about sports and music. We no longer produce the print edition, but the web site is up and running. I’ve linked my writing on local education issues from another post on this site, but there are also some bits of political and social commentary here and there. My author archive is here:
